Have you always wanted to be a potter?

Windmill Pottery offers internships to those who would like to learn the craft of pottery in exchange for working at the pottery on a fifty/fifty basis. There is no financial cost except for your time to help out at the pottery.

The only boutique pottery in Queensland that produces pottery from the ground up. We dig our own clay and prepare it for use for throwing on the wheel, hand modelling and sculpture. We sell our products through commissions, our own and other galleries, markets and specialised outlets. As a fledgling boutique pottery, we offer interns the opportunity to grow with the company, sell and display their wares and learn the many aspects of pottery production.

Once graduated, some interns remain as protégés to produce their own ware to keep and for sale. The pottery currently has four protégés, while several have gone on to establish their own studios. We have positions available immediately with scope for more in the future.

A minimum of two days a week is recommended, but time arrangements are flexible.  You will need your own transport as there is inadequate public transport to the pottery.

This is an opportunity to learn on the job at no cost, except to your time. Working with clay may become your life's passion.
